Detailed description
Picture "A Beautiful Day" (2017)
The artist Anja Struck from Lüneburg is a master of atmospheric staging. That applies, for example, to her works in which she unites people and landscape. The dissolution of boundaries, the blurring of motifs and the emergence of blurriness are characteristic of these works. Struck's main subjects are fully absorbed in their surroundings. They virtually blur into them and thus become a part of nature itself. This artistic effect conveys a feeling of great freedom, as in "A Beautiful Day" alone in the summer mudflats.
Reproduction on Alu-Dibond behind 3 mm thick acrylic glass. Limited to 199 copies and numbered. Hand-signed certificate included. Size 42 x 112 cm (h/w). With suspension device. Due to the smooth surface, mirror effects may occur depending on the incidence of light. ars mundi Exclusive Edition.

About Anja Struck
A Master of Atmospheric Staging
The painter Anja Struck from Lüneburg, Germany, places humans at the centre of her work, staging them in landscapes, in movements or the form of portraits. The figures she paints always contain a significant part of her own emotional world: "Every work is a piece of myself, undisguised, naked and honest."
She is a master of atmospheric staging. This applies to her numerous portraits, where she brings them to life with cleverly placed light and shadow, and it also applies to her works, in which she brings people and landscapes together. Typical of these works are the dissolution of boundaries, the blurring of motifs, and the emergence of blurriness. Struck's protagonists become completely absorbed in their surroundings, almost blurred into them, thus becoming part of nature itself. This artistic effect conveys a sense of great freedom.
Struck, born in Hamburg in 1961, now lives and works in Lüneburg. She studied graphic art and design, art education and painting under Markus Lüpertz, among others.
A form of presentation favoured by professional photographers and exhibition organizers. Increasingly, artists are creating works for this carrier made of high-tech composite aluminium. The metallic surface creates a synthesis with the colours. White areas of the image are shimmering matt-metallic, depending on the light source, giving the image an elegant and puristic appearance. Thanks to the direct colour pigmentation the details are depicted precisely. Alu-Dibond is long-lasting and resistant.
Graphic or sculpture edition that was initiated by ars mundi and is available only at ars mundi or at distribution partners licensed by ars mundi.
Depiction of typical scenes from daily life in painting, whereby a distinction can be made between peasant, bourgeois and courtly genres.
The genre reached its peak and immense popularity in Dutch paintings of the 17th century. In the 18th century, especially in France, the courtly-galant painting became prominent while in Germany the bourgeois character was emphasised.
