Donald Baechler

Born in 1956

In the 1980s, Baechler was part of the neo-expressive movement, together with artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. This had a lasting impact on the style of his work. To this day, his works are characterised by their symbolic and sometimes naive imagery. Baechler was a student at the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste Städelschule in Frankfurt. Germany.

His works are represented in numerous collections, including MoMA, the Guggenheim in New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
