Rolf May (born 1956) never wanted to become anything other than an artist. Even as a boy he spent every free minute in the studio of the painter Rudolf Fuchs. He initially worked as a harvester and dishwasher and maybe sold a painting now and then. But he gradually learned all artistic techniques up to bronze casting. After his Mediterranean study trips, he worked in Paris, Munich and Pasadena/California, among other places, and had numerous exhibitions in Germany and the USA. Since the 1980s, Rolf May has devoted himself to Fantastic Art.
