The sculptor Klaus W. Rieck in action

Klaus W. Rieck

Rieck's free-standing sculptures search for a form that speaks for themselves – they are not an image or abstraction but show an invisible world. His works may evoke associations, but they always stand for themselves, to be seen and touched. Through their reductiveness, they express the essentiality of being that is more akin to the metaphysical and cosmic world.

Klaus W. Rieck was born in Kassel, Germany and studied sculpture and architecture at the Berlin Art Academy. He has been living and working in Berlin as a freelance sculptor since 1996. His freelance work has been accompanied by commissions for ornamental and figurative sculpture. Rieck takes part in solo and group exhibitions and has already been represented at various sculpture symposia.
