Florian Süssmayr

Florian Süssmayr's paintings usually focus on everyday life, the incidental: the pubs and graffiti of his native city or the passion Süssmayr shares with his friends for punk and soccer that he takes up in his sometimes-monumental paintings. The depictions seem to be both illustrations and expressions of life on the margins of society.

The artist was born in 1963 in Munich, where he still lives and works today. He has had a solo exhibition at the Haus der Kunst, Munich (2005), among others.
