Detailed description

Picture "The Joker", framed

The neo-dadaist Ben Vautier, born in Naples in 1935, became particularly famous for his "écritures": pictures with sentences and statements reflecting his view of the world moved into the world's major collections and museums. With the "Joker", he not only claims the role of the joker for himself and his art but, at the same time, demands that art - wherever it may be encountered - be given absolute priority.

Original colour serigraph in 2 colours, limited world edition 5,000 copies. Hand-signed and numbered on the back. Sheet size 28 x 21 cm (h/w). Framed in a silver-coloured solid wood frame with bevel cut passe-partout, glazed. Size 45 x 36 cm (h/w).
