Detailed description

"Aron Necklace", silver version

The arum, which is now a protected species, is a magic plant that has been known since ancient times. Only initiated experts knew how to handle the dangerous arum, but secret recipes resulted in a unique love spell that banished evil dreams and made a woman's beauty irresistible. Tabernaemontanus even mentioned the arum as a plant of beauty. Already in the Middle Ages, the flower symbolised the flowery language of love: "I share your feelings - I will love you faithfully".

The name refers to Aaron, Moses' brother: "Moses spoke to the people of Israel. And all their chiefs gave him staffs, one for each chief, according to their fathers' houses, twelve staffs. And the staff of Aaron was among their staffs. And Moses deposited the staffs before the LORD in the tent of the testimony. On the next day, Moses went into the tent of the testimony, and behold, the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds." Old Testament, Exodus 17:21-23.

The design is based on an 18th-century drawing from the botanical art collection of the National History Museum in London. It shows two arum flowers facing each other, following the feminine line of the neck and décolleté. The double arrangement of the blossoms unites the masculine and feminine elements and symbolises the merging of partners.
