About Ed van Rosmalen

Ed van Rosmalen was born in 1955 and is of a large Dutch family of artists. His father was a painter, and it was obvious that van Rosmalen would also become a painter.

After completing a classical academy education, van Rosmalen went to the USA and began working as a painter in Los Angeles in the late 1970s. He returned to the Netherlands and studied urban planning. After graduating, he took up a teaching position at the University of Amsterdam.

In 1986, van Rosmalen left the university to work as a freelance artist. He joined the family business "Parastone", which made a name for itself mainly for restoring paintings and church sculptures.

Now "Parastone" produces original works of art thanks to Ed van Rosmalen's commitment. With the "Mahogany Princess" and "Jazz Greats" collections, van Rosmalen has now gained worldwide recognition.
