About George Pusenkoff

His passion is pictures that have already achieved cult status. George Pusenkoff, born in 1953 in Krasnopolje, Belarus, transforms famous works of art history into a new visual aesthetic using his very own technique.

He transfers digital models of Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" and Andy Warhol's "Marilyn Monroe" into a contemporary visual language. In this way, he stylises myths of art history into his very own art objects – from cult images to computer images to masterpieces of painting.

George Pusenkoff lives and works in Cologne and Moscow. His works can now be found in many important collections worldwide, for example, in the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow.
