Ginkgo jewellery set in 925 sterling silver, gold-plated
The two-part leaf of the ginkgo, which is unique in the plant world, and the fact that there are male and female trees, have made the ginkgo a symbol of harmony and partnership for thousands of years. According to Asian philosophy, the slender upright growth form of the ginkgo represents yang and is equated with activity and vitality, while the leaves, due to their fan-like shape, represent yin, i.e. gentleness and softness.
