Detailed description

Book "Labyrinths - The Work of Paul Wunderlich" - with sculpture "Snail House"

Hans Holländer, a well-known art historian and profound expert on the work of Paul Wunderlich, published a fundamental monograph on the artist in 1985. After more than a quarter of a century, during which Wunderlich's oeuvre became an essential part of contemporary German art, Holländer now presents a new view of the artist's oeuvre, his life's work, in his richly illustrated book called "Labyrinthe". Through this book, we discover Wunderlich's interest in geometry, anatomy and his passion for landscapes and gardens. Holländer addresses the entire diversity of Wunderlich's work: paintings, lithographs, etchings, pastels and sculptures. Together with the fascinating, richly illustrated overview volume of Paul Wunderlich's life's work, we supply the small sculpture "Snail Shell", designed in 1973.

Book size 18.5 x 23 cm, 124 pages, illustrated throughout in colour, language: German. Comes with the sculpture "Snail Shell" by Paul Wunderlich, factory number 13. Copper-plated metal alloy, patinated, partly polished. Cast using the Lost-Wax-Process, height 3.4 cm, width 4.3 cm, depth 2.8 cm. Weight approx. 300g. Provided with the artist's signature.
