LITO's patented technology involves two process steps.
First, a laser scanner creates an exact three-dimensional model of an artwork. Afterwards, this digital template is then transferred onto a medium such as paper, canvas, or glass using a 3D printer. Every brushstroke, every nuance of colour, and every fibre of the original canvas is preserved.
The LITO Masters process is used in a variety of different fields.
The method not only enables faithful reproductions of artworks but also allows museums to analyse centuries-old masterpieces through 3D scanning, for example, for necessary restoration projects. Furthermore, LITO's technology is used in contemporary art, such as sculpture and multimedia art.
