"A picture is an image of the soul, an attempt to highlight and represent a particular thought from the infinite quantity of thoughts."

Robert Hettich

The works of the artist Robert Hettich (born in 1964) skillfully oscillate between abstraction and concretisation, between colour impression and figurative representation. The motifs remain recognisable, but the main effect is a mood, an emotion that communicates itself to the viewer precisely through the groups of people dissolved in colour surface and composition.
Hettich first studied graphics, art and painting and later pursued another artistic study. This double training path may be one explanation for his versatility. For a long time, he has also been highly traded in collectors' circles because of the way he combines technical perfection with creative originality.

Robert Hettich is known through numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad - such as his recent participation in the 8th and 9th Beijing International Art Biennale.
