About Gerti Landwehr
Under the title "THE ART OF FACES," Gerti Landwehr creates portraits of fictional personalities. Powerful, expressive, and intense, they look deeply into your eyes, captivating and enchanting. An intense eye contact between the artwork and the viewer is created. This is exactly the artist's goal. In a time of complete sensory overload and superficial consumption of information, where content and personal connections are losing importance, the artist wants to "hold" the viewer with her works, giving them a moment of inner calm, a dialogue without words - the message of a moment.
"My works should not only capture emotions but also evoke them."
With powerful colour combinations and her distinctive brushstrokes full of strength, dynamism, and lightness, her faces become "alive." Through alternating glazing and opaque colour applications, contours, surfaces, and spontaneous accents, exciting, multi-layered moods emerge, inspiring a closer look. Her works touch, enchant, and captivate. They create valuable moments filled with reflection, emotion, and positive feelings.
Gerti Landwehr, born near Würzburg, Germany, has accompanied her love for painting since childhood. After many years as an art director in creative agencies, she has been living and working as a freelance artist in Austria since 2013. Numerous art fairs in Germany and abroad have made the artist known. Her works can also be seen in various galleries.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler "to squirt, to spray".
The Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format print produced with an inkjet printer using special different-coloured dye- or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The inks are lightfast, meaning they are resistant to harmful UV light. They provide a high level of nuance, contrast, and saturation.
The Giclée process is suitable for art canvases, handmade paper and watercolour paper as well as silk.
