Detailed description

Picture "AND EARTH WILL REACH TO INFINITY LIKE BEFORE GALILEO (ZAHARA SOFT)" (Unique piece)

Salustiano is a master of portraiture, both painted on canvas and paper. The Seville-born artist paints his models in the traditional manner against monochrome backgrounds so that the viewer's attention is focused on the person portrayed. They stand alone and confront the viewer with an enquiring gaze, encouraging a silent dialogue. Just as the works show the persons turned in on themselves in a meditative pose, the pictures are magically attractive and invite the sensual marvelling at these almost unearthly beautiful beings.

Unique piece. Natural pigments and acrylic resin. Signed on the back. Unframed. Size 100 x 78 cm.

About Salustiano

Salustiano (born in 1965) is a master of portraiture on canvas and paper.

The Seville-born artist paints his models in the manner of the old masters – in front of monochrome backgrounds so that the viewer's attention is concentrated on the sitter. As they stand alone, they confront the viewer with an enquiring gaze and encourage a silent dialogue.

In the same way that the works show the persons in a meditative pose, the pictures themselves have a magical attraction and invite the viewer to marvel at these almost unearthly beautiful beings.

Salustiano studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in his native city and is now an internationally successful artist.
