Sculpture "Fauno Danzante of Pompeii" (reduction), cast metal
The dancing faun or Satyr is the most famous find from Pompeii. This expressive sculpture stood in the centre of the Casa del Fauno, arguably the most magnificent residence in the city, and adorned the atrium of the palace of Publius Sulla, nephew of the great general and dictator Sulla.
