Detailed description
Sculpture "Little Lady of Justice"
Even in ancient Rome, she was worshipped as the incorruptible goddess of justice, law and fairness. Lady Justice, blindfolded, "considers" the law with an introspective gaze, impartially and without regard to the person. The sword symbolises that law is inseparable from power and the "sharpness of the law". In this traditional depiction, Justitia carries the scales in her left hand and the double-edged sword in her right.
Sculpture of finely patinated cast metal on a pedestal of polymer-bonded cast metal after a model from the 19th century. Size incl. pedestal 16.5 x 30.5 x 9.5 cm (w/h/d).

A plastic work of sculptural art made of wood, stone, ivory, bronze or other metals.
While sculptures from wood, ivory or stone are made directly from the block of material, in bronze casting a working model is prepared at first. Usually, it is made of clay or other easily mouldable materials.
The prime time of sculpture after the Greek and Roman antiquity was the Renaissance. Impressionism gave a new impulse to the sculptural arts. Contemporary artists such as Jorg Immendorf, Andora, and Markus Lupertz also enriched sculptures with outstanding works.
