Nikolay Anev

Nikolay Anev, born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1950, was one of the Bulgarian most famous sculptors. There he received national awards for his sculptural oeuvre as early as 1984 and 1986. He received his nickname "The Thracian" because he worked as a restorer of Thracian treasures at the National Institute for Cultural Monuments in Sofia before studying at the Academy in St. Petersburg. Nikolay Anev died in 2009.
