Dieter Braun is the award winner of the 2016 Art Directors Club in Germany!

Dieter Braun studied communication design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany, at the end of the 1980s and is now an internationally sought-after illustrator. His clients include magazines such as Stern, TIME Magazine and the New York Times.

Braun regularly travels to Africa and Australia to study animals in the wild. He breaks down organic forms inspired by wildlife and landscapes into simple geometry and combines vector graphics with handmade elements in bright colours. His well-received pictorial atlas titled "The World of Wild Animals in the South" was published in 2014.

He sets a high standard for his works to make the viewer of his pictorial creations happy. Among other things, in 2013, he illustrated the anniversary edition of the 1973 classic children's book "Momo" by Michael Ende.
