Giclée print on canvas. Limited edition of 199 copies, signed and numbered on the back. Mounted on a stretcher frame. Size 70 x 80 cm. Framed in solid wood shadow gap frame. Size 75 x 85 cm. ars mundi Exclusive Edition.
About Robert Witzke
Robert Witzke grew up in Gniezno, the centre of medieval Poland, and today lives in Berlin.
His path towards the visual arts was rather unusual: as a trained teacher, he worked with young people and for many years taught them artistic techniques and styles based on his interest in drawing and painting. It was only much later that he ventured to create his own works. But they succeeded so well, not least because of his masterful painting technique, that he was soon exhibited in Berlin galleries.
Even today, Witzke leads a dual professional existence as a visual artist. However, education has been replaced by a profession in which his precise painting style is in demand – Witzke is a set painter at the Babelsberg film studio.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler "to squirt, spurt".
The giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different-coloured dye- or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are fade-proof, i.e. resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.
The giclée process is suitable for art canvases, handmade and watercolour paper as well as for silk.
