Sculpture "Allegory of Peace", artificial stone
The dove is a symbol of peace not only in Picasso's work, but also in the Old Testament. Angeles Anglada's sculpture captures the moment in which the dove is about to take off from the hands that gently hold it, to which it will return after a hopefully successful mission as a bringer of peace with the olive branch.
Made of cast stone, green and golden patinated. There is a small golden-coloured plaque with the artist's signature engraved on the marble pedestal. Size 33 x 37 x 32 cm (h/w/d). Total weight approx. 4.75 kg.
