About Asghar Keyhanian
Asghar Keyhanian lives and works as a designer and visual artist in Hamburg. He was born in Iran in 1957. While still at school, he worked as a miniaturist, porcelain painter and textile designer in Isfahan and Tehran. Since he arrived in Germany, he has worked for decades as a textile designer and pattern designer for the German and European fabric and carpet industry. His textile designs have been frequently used in various products.
For his artistic works, he translates his visions of colour and composition. He edits his oil paintings, watercolours and pencil drawings using digital technology, experimentally giving them shapes and colours that merge into vivid impressions. Then he prints his pictures on litho paper and does some further editing.
