About Gerti Landwehr
Gerti Landwehr's works are characterised by powerful colour combinations. Glazing colour application alternates with opaque colours. Contours, surfaces and various stroke thicknesses create dynamism and lightness. Additional spontaneous accents with colour and brush create exciting, multi-layered moods that inspire the viewer to take a closer look at first glance.
Gerti Landwehr, who was born near Würzburg, Germany, has been passionate about painting since her childhood. After many years as an art director in creative agencies, she has been living and working as a freelance artist in Austria since 2013.
Numerous art fairs both in Germany and abroad have made the artist well-known. Additionally, her works can be seen in various galleries.
A one-of-a-kind or unique piece is a work of art that has been personally created by the artist. It exists only once due to the type of production (oil painting, watercolours, drawing, etc.).
In addition to the classic unique pieces, there exist the so-called "serial unique pieces". They present a series of works with the same colour, motif and technique, manually prepared by the same artist.
