About Jim Shore
With his imaginative designs, Jim Shore is one of America's most successful artists and was awarded the title "Artist of the Year" for his creations in 2006. He is an active member and president of the Yorkville Artist Guild.
Shore found his models in the quilts, the ceramics and the embroideries of colonial American folk art: "These objects were created out of the pure heart!" He combines many of these elements for his work: "Every time I create a new object, I create at least two designs for it to see how it develops and how the colours and shapes work together.
