The works of his series "Light Sails" do not aim at the image of a ship but revolve around themes such as movement, dynamics, light and lightness.
Fine Art Giclée on 308g Hahnemühle handmade paper. Limited edition of 199 copies, numbered and signed by hand. Motif size 46 x 35 cm (h/w). Sheet size 56 x 45 cm (h/w). Framed in silver solid wood frame, glazed. Size 62 x 51 cm (h/w). ars mundi Exclusive Edition.
About Jörgen Habedank
Jörgen Habedank is a passionate draughtsman and painter, although "colour composer" would also be an apt term.
In his studio, an old mill near Hamburg, Germany, he creates colour-intensive, luminous works, often collages, which he assembles from prepared colour surfaces. The approach of the works in his "Lichtsegler" (eng.: light sails) series is not to create the image of a ship, but rather to focus on the themes of movement, dynamics, light and lightness.
Habedank became a true colour and light artist with his glassworks, which can now be found in numerous religious buildings, public institutions and company buildings.
Graphic or sculpture edition that was initiated by ars mundi and is available only at ars mundi or at distribution partners licensed by ars mundi.
Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler "to squirt, spurt".
The giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different-coloured dye- or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are fade-proof, i.e. resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.
The giclée process is suitable for art canvases, handmade and watercolour paper as well as for silk.
