The dream of freedom and power: Kerstin Tschech's paintings are more than just detailed or photographic depictions of horses. She wants to make the fascination of horses tangible: the galloping of the noble creatures, the rhythmic breathing and the powerful wave that emanates from the heated bodies of the horses. The smell of horses - that is how close the Tschech is to the essence of the horses on the canvases.

Painter and designer
After studying design, painting and photography, Kerstin Tschech finally decided to paint. The result is an independent, expressionistic style with energetic brushstrokes on vividly designed backgrounds. Her horse paintings made her recognised by celebrities for whom she then painted (e. g.: Athina Onassis, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum or Martina Hingis).

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler "to squirt, spurt".
The giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different-coloured dye- or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are fade-proof, i.e. resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.
The giclée process is suitable for art canvases, handmade and watercolour paper as well as for silk.
