Realism in art does not necessarily relate to "physical" reality. Fantasy has a requirement of reality for itself, and Siegfried Zademack succeeds in creating his fantastic pictorial works to appear quite real. Ultimately, this is a matter of technique: Zademack has studied the masters of the Italian Renaissance. Moreover, he has an excellent knowledge of the history of art, which he repeatedly quotes in his works.
Zademack's works are invitations to fantastic landscapes. They elude simple decoding and stubbornly defend their mystery. Zademack's pictures have been called "old-masterly" in praise of his mastery of painting techniques. However, "neo-masterly" would be a better description because years ago, Zademack founded the artists' group "Neue Meister" (New Masters) together with several other colleagues committed to fantastic realism, which has since been striving to revive realistic painting.

The giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different-coloured dye- or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are fade-proof, i.e. resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.
The giclée process is suitable for art canvases, handmade and watercolour paper as well as for silk.
