Artists' Association "Die Brücke" (1905-1913)

Founded in Dresden, Germany, by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Karl-Schmidt-Rottluff, Fritz Bleyl and Erich Heckel. Other artist colleagues joined (Max Pechstein in 1906, Otto Mueller in 1910 and even Emil Nolde joined from 1906 to 1907). The artists' group is regarded as an important representative of Expressionism, and the artists associated with it are seen as pioneers of Classical Modernism.
