Landesmuseum Hannover - Museum Editions

The Landesmuseum Hannover is the largest state museum in Lower Saxony. In addition to the "MenschenWelten" and the "NaturWelten" sections, the "KunstWelten" showcases highlights of European art history from the 14th to the 20th century. In cooperation with ars mundi, exclusive editions of works by Max Slevogt and Caspar David Friedrich, among others, have been produced.

"The World Museum" - this is the motto of the Landesmuseum Hannover, Germany. Within the three sections of Lower Saxony's largest state museum, visitors can experience not only the natural history "NaturWelten" and the ethnographic "MenschenWelten" but also the "KunstWelten". The permanent exhibition and changing special exhibitions present highlights of European art history from the 14th to the 20th century. The museum's collection ranges from medieval sculptures and altars to works from Italian and Dutch Baroque, as well as German Renaissance to German and French Impressionism and early Expressionism. Numerous famous artists are represented in the museum's collection, including Sandro Botticelli, Lucas Cranach, Peter Paul Rubens, Rembrandt van Rijn, Caspar David Friedrich, and Carl Spitzweg. The impressionist movement, a significant focus of the museum, is represented by artists such as Max Liebermann, Max Slevogt, Lovis Corinth, Claude Monet, and Alfred Sisley. Additionally, the Landesmuseum houses a copperplate cabinet with over 20,000 hand drawings and prints.
