Detailed description
Wooden Carved Saviour Nativity, hand-painted
The Original Heiland nativity was designed by master sculptor Ulrich Perathoner from Val Gardena and is produced in his workshops. Each individual element is carved by master hands and carefully hand-painted with light oil colours. Only precious sycamore maple woods that have been air-dried for years are used for the production. The woodcarvings captivate with their artisan quality and inimitable expression and style. Each nativity scene is shipped with a certificate of authenticity.
11-pcs ensemble. Figure size 12 cm. Total height 24 cm. Width incl. pedestal 30 cm, depth 20 cm.
A plastic work of sculptural art made of wood, stone, ivory, bronze or other metals.
While sculptures from wood, ivory or stone are made directly from the block of material, in bronze casting a working model is prepared at first. Usually, it is made of clay or other easily mouldable materials.
The prime time of sculpture after the Greek and Roman antiquity was the Renaissance. Impressionism gave a new impulse to the sculptural arts. Contemporary artists such as Jorg Immendorf, Andora, and Markus Lupertz also enriched sculptures with outstanding works.
