Detailed description

3D picture ‘Christening Gift’, framed

About the exhibit

A child was born – and, through the ritual of baptism, became a young Christian.

This 3D object depicts this special moment in a simple yet evocative way: a typographic representation of the baptismal font, with a floating cross behind it. Handcrafted, three-dimensional, with depth. A gift for every baptised child – entrusted to their parents.

A work of art for:

• All newly baptised children and their parents
• Anyone looking for a gift that truly honours the moment of baptism
• Living spaces and children’s rooms with heart and depth

Whether as a christening gift, a memento of a special day, or the most personal gift one can give for a christening – this 3D picture uniquely combines craftsmanship, faith and warmth.

With imagination and wit, the professor of business communication, born in 1960, stages words and quotations as innovative typographic object images. Using three-dimensional figurative design elements, Birkelbach reinforces the text’s message, thereby creating an expressive link between poster art and miniature sculpture.

Each piece is handcrafted and signed by the artist. The object images are framed in solid wood with high-quality, anti-glare glazing. Limited edition of 499 copies, with certificate. Size 35 x 35 x 7 cm (h/w/d).
