Art Figures at ars mundi – Diverse Styles, Materials and Finishes
Whether wooden figures, art cast figures or decorative sculptures made of ceramic – in our carefully curated selection you will discover small and large designer figures made from a variety of materials. The range of styles is just as diverse: From Pop Art and Christmas decorations to classic or child-friendly designs, everything is included.
Many of the high-quality figures are handcrafted and/or hand-painted. Some pieces shine with finishes such as partial gilding. Others impress with fine jewellery details that attract all eyes.
In addition, you will discover figurative art in various sizes with us. Whether as an imposing eye-catcher or as a subtle decorative element – these designs can be staged in many ways.
People, Animals and Abstract Forms
Our art figures come from different thematic worlds. In addition to figurative representations of people and animals, we present religious decorative sculptures, astrological depictions as well as sculptures from the field of humour/caricature.
The designs come from artists from all over the world. Thus, the garish and colourful figurative art of Tom's Drag stands alongside the handcrafted art cast figures by Guillermo Forchino. With his designs such as "The Good Years", he creates humorous character portrayals that invite a smile.
However, more traditional is the Christmas handicraft of master sculptor Ulrich Perathoner. Among other things, he presents the "Holy Family" as hand-carved wooden figures. Or you can choose "The Visitor", conceived by Guido Deleu, handcrafted in Brazil: A particularly simple, minimalist-looking art figure that also impresses because of its small format.
Staging Designer Figures – Tips for Your Home
To ensure that your artistic decorative figures come into their own, we recommend the following tips for staging:
- Large figures desire a prominent display area so that they attract all eyes.
- Small figures create decorative accents on a sideboard or in a display cabinet and also have a strong effect in combination with other sculptures.
- Depending on the interior style, it may be worthwhile to combine art wooden figures with art cast and porcelain to create deliberate contrasts in style, or to stick to a fixed selection of materials to emphasise uniformity.
| Tip: Art figures look particularly appealing when arranged as sets or in small groups. In interaction, they are harmonious, eye-catching and tell a story directly. |
