About the exhibit
Let’s get away – to a desert island! Who doesn’t think that often when looking out of the window during a dreary day at the office? If only you could just press the ‘Escape’ button and, hey presto, you’d be on a beautiful holiday island.
This 3D object captures precisely that wish. It inspires us to escape the daily grind and switch to daydreaming. No stress in the office, just relaxing under a palm tree. And that’s why it makes us look forward to our next holiday so much.
A work of art for …
- Anyone who can and wants to dream
- Anyone who desperately needs a holiday
- Offices, studies and living spaces that inspire dreams
Whether ahead of a lovely holiday, or simply as a daily reminder and a way to look forward to the next trip – this 3D picture uniquely combines craftsmanship, anticipation and typography.
With imagination and wit, the professor of business communication, born in 1960, stages words and quotations as innovative typographic art objects. Using three-dimensional figurative design elements, Birkelbach reinforces the text’s message, thereby creating an expressive link between poster art and miniature sculpture.
Each piece is handcrafted and signed by the artist. The object images are framed in solid wood with high-quality, anti-reflective glazing. Limited edition of 249 copies, with certificate. Size 35 x 35 x 7 cm (h/w/d).
