About the exhibit
Get up! Stand up. Make a change in your life.
Sometimes you have to give yourself – or others – a jolt. This 3D object image visualises exactly that: the letters ‘U’ and ‘P’ are designed to resemble a duvet opening up early in the morning. Handcrafted, three-dimensional, with instant recognition. A picture for everyone who has finally woken up.
Not a poster, not a print – but a work of art that wakes you up.
A work of art for...
- Anyone who is daring to make a fresh start and wants to give themselves a jolt
- Anyone looking for a gift that motivates rather than merely decorates
- Bedrooms, offices and studies with attitude
Whether as morning motivation, encouragement for someone going through a period of change, or the perfect gift for people ready to get up and go – this 3D picture uniquely combines craftsmanship, humour and joie de vivre.
Born in 1960, this professor of business communication uses imagination and wit to present words and quotations as innovative typographic object art. Using three-dimensional figurative design elements, Birkelbach reinforces the text’s message, thereby creating an expressive link between poster art and miniature sculpture.
Each piece is handcrafted and signed by the artist. The object images are framed in solid wood with high-quality, anti-glare glass. Limited edition of 249 copies for this exhibit, with certificate. Size 35 x 35 x 7 cm (h/w/d).
