About the exhibit
New York by night. No other place in the world shines like this.
The Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, Central Park – the city on the Hudson River has more landmarks than any other. And it is at its most atmospheric at night. This 3D object captures precisely this moment: the word NEW YORK as three-dimensional letters, handcrafted and typographically staged. For all fans of America and New York City.
A work of art that brings to life the energy of the city that never sleeps.
A work of art for...
- New York fans and everyone who loves the city on the Hudson River
- Anyone looking for a gift that combines wanderlust with a city vibe
- Living spaces, offices and hallways with an urban, international character
Whether as a memento of your last trip to New York, as an eye-catcher in the living room or as the perfect gift for America enthusiasts – this 3D picture uniquely combines craftsmanship, city vibes and wanderlust.
With imagination and wit, the professor of business communication, born in 1960, stages words and quotations as innovative typographic object images. Using three-dimensional figurative design elements, Birkelbach reinforces the text’s message, thereby creating an expressive link between poster art and miniature sculpture.
Each piece is handcrafted and signed by the artist. The object images are framed in solid wood with high-quality, anti-glare glass. Limited edition of 249 copies, with certificate. Size 35 x 35 x 7 cm (h/w/d).
