Detailed description

3D picture "THE BREMEN TOWN MUSICIANS", framed

About the exhibit

They set out to find happiness – and found it together.

The crowing rooster as a powerful 3D figure, incorporated into the typographic ‘human ladder’ of the Bremen Town Musicians. Handcrafted, three-dimensional, with a nod to the Brothers Grimm’s most famous fairy tale. The rooster – a symbol of courage and the dawn of a new day – presented in a modern, typographic style.

A work of art that evokes childhood memories whilst making a compelling, timeless statement.

A work of art for

• fairy-tale lovers and all those who hold the Bremen Town Musicians dear
• Bremen residents with a love for their city
• Anyone looking for a gift that tells a story
• Children’s bedrooms, living rooms and libraries with character

Whether as a charming conversation piece in the living room, a gift for a new baby or a birthday present – this 3D picture uniquely combines craftsmanship, fairy-tale magic and humour.

With imagination and wit, the professor of business communication, born in 1960, stages words and quotations as innovative typographic object images. Using three-dimensional figurative design elements, Birkelbach reinforces the text’s message, creating an expressive link between poster art and miniature sculpture.

Each piece is handcrafted and signed by the artist. The object images are framed in solid wood with high-quality, anti-reflective glazing. Limited edition of 249 copies, with certificate. Size 35 x 35 x 7 cm (h/w/d).
