About the exhibit
Pax – the term comes from Latin and literally means ‘the absence of war’. Today, it is synonymous with inner and outer peace. The desire for pax, Frieden and peace is more relevant than ever before.
About the artist
With imagination and wit, this professor of business communication, born in 1960, transforms words and quotations into innovative typographic objects. Using three-dimensional figurative design elements, Birkelbach reinforces the message of the text, thereby creating a powerful connection between poster art and miniature sculpture.
Each piece is handcrafted and signed by the artist. The object images are framed in solid wood with high-quality, anti-reflective glazing. Limited edition of 249 copies, with certificate. Size 35 x 35 x 10 cm (h/w/d).
