Detailed description

Striding King Tutankhamun

The youthful ruler strides towards the afterlife like a god. He wears a calf-length apron, a broad collar and his magnificent sandals. His insignia of royal dignity are the scourge, long staff and the Red Crown of Lower Egypt. The soft modelling of the body is strongly reminiscent of the style of the Amarna period.
Original: Egyptian Museum, Cairo. Tomb treasure of Tutankhamun. Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, c. 1335 BC.

Polymer ars mundi museum replica, hand-cast, with 24-carat gold leaf, height 58 cm.
