The CHICAGO 1937 model symbolises the relationship and development of the two design institutions Bauhaus and New Bauhaus, within the historical context of art, architecture and design. From the founding of the Bauhaus in Weimar, Germany, in 1919, through Dessau in 1925, to the New Bauhaus in Chicago in 1937, and back to the Bauhaus Archive in Berlin in 1960.
