Picture "You will not Stop me from Singing" (2021)
David Shrigley is known for his seemingly naïve painting style, which he always combines with typographical elements - lending the compositions wit and irony. In this signed screenprint from last year, this humorous approach becomes evident when Shrigley juxtaposes the polychrome portrait of a songbird with the phrase: "You will not Stop me from Singing my Song".
Original screenprint, 2021. edition: 125 copies, numbered and hand-signed. Motif size/sheet size 75 x 56 cm. Size in frame 79.5 x 60.5 cm as shown.
